Commission Types

• We take commissions for nearly any art project, so if you see us create something, we can likely take on a commission for it. Always feel free to message us on Email or Telegram. We love working on complex projects, and no dream is too big. Alongside costume commissions, we also offer various forms of digital and traditional artwork commissions, as well as photography sessions.

• Check for commission openings of all kinds on our social media and via our commissions page.

• We also accept NSFW and 18+ commissions; inquiries must be made via Email with proof of ID.

Payment and Payment Plans

• Upon approval of a commission, a 50% non-refundable payment is required within 48 hours to secure your spot in our queue. All payments must be completed before any work begins on the costume or artwork.

• While payment plans are not preferred, we are more likely to accept commissions paid in full. However, we are open to discussing payment options and working with customers. ALL payment plans must be completed within 4 months unless a longer plan is arranged through Affirm Credit Union. Details for Affirm payment plans can be found here.

• Prices are subject to change and will be finalized once your commission is accepted. Taxes are not included in initial quotes. To calculate the final price with taxes, multiply your quoted total by 0.06 (e.g., $100 x 0.06 = $106).

• CosmellCosplay accepts payments via Wix invoices, payable by credit/debit card, and Affirm Credit Union. Payments can also be made using money orders or checks.

• A signed customer contract via Google Docs is required before any payment is made.

• It is crucial to ensure your finances are in order before commissioning us.​

Concept Art

• We will create the suit based on the reference sheet provided at the beginning of the commission process. A two-sided minimum fursuit reference sheet is required unless the commission is artistic liberty.

• We will confirm markings and designs before starting work. Please note that design changes after the commission has begun may not always be possible, but we will do our best to accommodate them.

• We also offer reference sheet commissions for those who do not already have one. Feel free to reach out for more details.​

Deadlines, Timelines, and Queue

• There are no strict deadlines for commissions, only estimated completion times. We will provide an estimated completion date and notify you of any changes. While some factors may cause delays, we always strive to create beautiful, high-quality, handmade costumes as efficiently as possible. Please note that conventions where we are accepted as dealers may impact the commission queue, as many conventions provide only 4-5 months' notice before confirming dealer acceptance.

• Queue spaces may be reserved for premade suits with convention deadlines. However, there are no payment options to skip the queue. Multiple costumes may be worked on simultaneously.

• You can track our progress and updates on our public Trello page. Once your commission slot has been confirmed, you can follow daily updates through the CosmellCosplay Fursuiter Telegram Chat.

Agreement

• Any agreements made in writing, including via email, social media, or text, are considered binding. All discussions regarding finances will be conducted exclusively via email. By accepting a commission from CosmellCosplay, you agree to all terms of service. Please note that these terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.

• CosmellCosplay is not liable for any injuries sustained while wearing our costumes. Always prioritize your health and safety over appearance. We strongly recommend staying hydrated and being mindful of your physical condition, especially when fursuiting for extended periods.​​

Shipping

• Shipping is not included in the price of a commission. Payment for shipping must be made once the commission is completed. We are not responsible for any loss or damage during transit including, but not limited to: water damage, stolen packages, or weathering. We typically ship through USPS and require a signature upon delivery. Priority shipping is available for an additional cost.

• If a package is returned due to an incorrect shipping address provided by the buyer, the buyer will be responsible for the cost of reshipping the product. 

• It is incredibly important that you provide us with an accurate shipping address and name.

Sizing and Measurements

• For all fullsuit commissions, we require a duct tape dummy (DTD) to be sent in. The better the duct tape dummy, the better the suit will fit. Please ensure that clean seams are cut down your DTD for accurate measurements. For assistance, please refer to our DTD guide.

• We are not responsible for the suit not fitting if you gain or lose weight after sending in the duct tape dummy. We recommend wearing a thin painter's suit to allow for easy access when making your DTD. Depending on your commission, we may require additional specific measurements to be sent in. Items like slip-on shoes and duct tape dummies are not included in the costume price and must be provided by the commissioner to ensure an accurate fit.

• The DTD should fully cover the neck, go around the hands (think of a shirt with thumb holes), and cover the majority of your feet (mainly the bottoms/heels to ensure leg length). If you have any questions, please reach out via Telegram or Email.

Warranty 

• All work comes with a 30-day warranty from the day the item is received. Any alterations not made or suggested by CosmellCosplay will void the warranty. The warranty covers defects in material and construction, but normal wear and tear is not included. If a suit is sent back for repairs in a dirty condition, a cleaning fee may be applied. Please note that washing a suit will void the warranty, as suits can be easily damaged in the washing machine.

• Refer to the costume care page for care instructions. If you have any concerns, please reach out, and we will do our best to assist.

Refusals, Refunds, and Cancellations

• Though this is extremely unlikely to occur we must make you aware that we reserve the right to decline any commission for reasons including, but not limited to: personal illness, family issues, or inappropriate behavior. If a commissioner wishes to cancel a commission, the down payment (50% of the commission) may not be refunded, depending on the status of the work. Refunds and cancellations may not be approved if significant progress has been made. Refunds will not be issued due to a commissioner’s inability to manage their personal circumstances or financial status.

• Please contact CosmellCosplay before canceling a commission so we can discuss the situation and work toward the best possible outcome. If a chargeback is made without prior communication, legal action and public warnings may follow to alert other artists. For any chargebacks on a commission, we reserve the right to edit and resell the work. Chargebacks involving fursuits will result in a permanent ban from future commissions and potential legal action, depending on the status of the commission and whether it has been shipped.

• If CosmellCosplay is unable to reach the client via email or Telegram for three months, the project will be considered abandoned, and any remaining refund will be forfeited. CosmellCosplay is not obligated to pursue alternative methods of contacting the client.

• Refunds are not available for pre-made costumes. Once payment for a pre-made costume is finalized, the customer may not request a refund. If the buyer decides they no longer want the costume, they are responsible for reselling it.

• Returns and Copyright

• There are no returns on custom-made items. This includes artwork and all custom/handmade items sold in our shop. According to copyright law, it is illegal to share digital items without proper purchase. Everything listed on our shop and website is our property and may not be distributed without permission. We reserve the right to publish all of our works on social media and use them for our own purposes. Private or non-public commissions may incur an additional fee. You may not use items purchased from our shop to create your own molds for personal use or resale.

• By commissioning CosmellCosplay, you agree that you own the rights to the design you are commissioning. CosmellCosplay is not liable for any character copyright claims, and all issues related to copyright are to be directed towards the commissioner.

• Please remember to always credit us when using both digital and physical purchases.

• Credit statement: "Credit for ____ goes to CosmellCoplay from cosmellcosplay.com."

• If a commissioner goes MIA for 3 months after CosmellCosplay has made multiple attempts to reach out, the commission will be removed from the queue. Prices may increase during this time. Upon reconnecting, the commission can be placed at the end of the queue.​​
